Merezzate Farmhouse
The new district is the redevelopment of an abandoned area in southeastern Milan, near the Rogoredo train station. The new buildings consist of social housing and regular houses for sale accommodation for a total of 650 accommodation units with underground garage divided into 5 lots and 23 buildings. In addition to the many green areas, the residential complex includes a kindergarten, a small shopping center and some social functions related to the houses.
The Merezzate Farmhouse was a great project for us because we had the chance to thoroughly use BIM, from modelling to LOD 350.
The biggest challenge was undoubtedly organizing and managing the large amount of 3D models stemming from multiple buildings, as well as managing interdisciplinary system relations, which were instead processed in 2D.
